COVID- A PIL Filed In The Supreme Court Seeking Compensation For The Families Of Patients Who Died Due To The Negligence Of Authorities During The Second Wave Of COVID

Public Interest Litigation has been filed today , by Advocate Sriram Parakkat in the Supreme court of India , seeking compensation for the families of patients who died due to Oxygen shortage  due to gross negligence of Government for granting unreasonable  permission for public gatherings during the Elections and Religious events despite foreseeable fatal consequence of the pandemic. The plea seeks initiation of proceedings and demands strict actions against the  concerned authorities .

The plea also prays for the submission of ‘National Plan’ which deals with the tackling of the possible forthcoming third wave of COVID .  Plea also prays for the Medical and financial support of the COVID contracted patients while attending Election Rallies and Maha Kumbh Mela during the past few weeks. While suggesting Centre and state to formulate and implement the scheme for free education of children up to 21 years, of age especially for those who have lost families during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
