COVID-19 SURGE- With The Rapid Increase Of Cases In The State Of UP, The State Will Remain In Partial Curfew For Another Week.

Uttar Pradesh has reported 26,847 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours. With the rising number of cases in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to prolong the present ongoing partial curfew for another week.

The partial curfew which was earlier announced from 29th April to 10th May will now be prolonged till 17th May. All stores, outlets and institutions will remain closed during this partial curfew. Whereas the essential services and COVID-19 vaccination drive will stay in functioning. The UP govt has decided to prolong the partial curfew to cut off the chain of the widely spreading COVID-19 virus amidst people.

The state has recorded 298 COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours and counts to total 14,80,315 active COVID-19 cases. Also, the state has recorded total 15,170 COVID-19 deaths till now.
